Unit standards downloaded from the NZQA website will appear in both the old and new format while the new template is being phased in.

All framework

Searches the title of all qualifications and unit standards, and the classification system (field, sub-field and domain) names. If you enter a word, it will return a list of all qualifications and unit standards with that word in their title. Will also return a list of any field, subfield and domain names containing the word. Will also search for unit standards and qualifications by ID. This is the default search.

If you cannot find the words that you are looking for, check your spelling and spacing before you change the search words. If your search is too broad the search will only bring up the first 30 records. If you include other words you will be able to further refine your search.

Note that "All framework" does not include unit standard replacement information (see below).

Qualifications by title or ID

Searches the title of all qualifications. If you enter a word, it will return a list of all unit standards with that word in their title. Will also search for a qualification by ID.

Unit standards by title or ID

Searches the title of all unit standards. If you enter a word, it will return a list of all qualifications with that word in their title. Will also search for a unit standard by ID.

Classification system (field, sub-field and domain names)

Searches all field, sub-field and domain names. Similar to searching by subject (eg you could enter 'Sciences' or 'mathematics' or 'Calculus'). If you leave the search box empty and press 'enter', you will be given a list of all fields, sub-field and domains. This takes a long time to download!

Accreditation and Moderation Action Plans (AMAPs) by ID

Searches for AMAPS by ID. For more information see: AMAPs

Unit standard replacement information

Searches for replacement unit standards by ID. Useful for determining which standard or standards replaces a particular standard (eg to find out which standard replaces standard 1782, enter 1782 in the search box).
